Have 2-3 different appetizers for fewer than 10 guests. Add another appetizer option for every 5-8 more guests,
If appetizers are the only food on the menu then plan for each person to have 10-12 pieces during the first 2 hours. Add 5 more pieces per person for every hour after. If they are being before a meal, then plan for each guest to have 3-5 pieces total per person.

Healthy Appetizers Our Favorite Charcuterie Platter
A go-to for every party and get-together is a Charcuterie Platter.
What we love most about it is that we can customize it for every occasion with the foods and products that are in season as well as the ones we love most.
I like to do a mix of crackers, cheeses, meats, and dips along with vegetables and fruits.
I also love that they are so easy to make. They can be assembled any way and are always a hit.
Here is what you’ll need to make it:
Ingredients
- 2 small cups dip I like Ranch and Veggie Dip
- 15 slices deli pepperoni
- 8 slices Prosciutto
- 9 slices deli salami
- 1/4 cup Colby jack cheese cubes
- 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese cubes
- 1 small cucumber sliced
- Handful blackberries
- 1/3 cup broccoli florets
- 8-10 grape tomatoes of any color
- 1-2 apples cubed
- 12-15 sugar snap peas
- 6 strawberries
- 12-15 baby carrots¼ cup nuts
- Handful pita chips
- 8-round crackers such as Ritz, Toasted, Multigrain
- 4-5 breadsticks
- 1/4 cup pretzel snaps or sticks or twists
- Have serving prongs or toothpicks near the tray
Instructions
This board can be assembled any way you like, but here is how we do it:
Place the small bowls of dip on opposite sides of the board.
Fold, or roll the deli meats. Place the pepperoni on one side of the tray. Put the salami along a different side and the prosciutto on a third side.
Add the different cheese cubes on opposite sides of each other.
Place the different types of crackers and pretzels around the board.
Finally, fill in any empty spots with the nuts and produce.
Be sure to place serving prongs or toothpicks near the tray.
They are loaded with protein or have a protein part. This could be something like a shrimp mixed drink, chicken wings, or smoked salmon appetizer. The hors d’oeuvres have a substance or mass to them. Consider hors d’oeuvres like small-scale sliders or puff cake nibbles.
Begin the party right with simple appetizers. These reduced-down treats can be made instantly and look quite extravagant.
In the U.S., ‘appetizers’, alluding to anything served before a feast, is the most well-known term for appetizers. Light appetizers served beyond the setting of a feast are called appetizers (with the English-language pluralization).
To start things off, attempt one of the vegetable choices, such as stuffed mushrooms, bison cauliflower nibbles, solid soup recipes, and crudités with a rich spice plunge. Or on the other hand choose a protein-pressed decision, such as spiced eggs, mixed drink meatballs, and coconut shrimp.
