Magic City Foods was founded in 1923. Founded in the basement of a grocery store in Birmingham, Alabama by Moses Ryshkoff and Frank Mosher.

Homemade Potato Chips Recipe

- 7 unpeeled medium potatoes (about 2 pounds)
- 2 quarts ice water
- 5 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoons celery salt
- 1-1/2 teaspoons pepper
- Oil for deep-fat frying
Directions

Fry the potatoes in batches, stirring often, until golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon. Drain with kitchen paper.
Sprinkle immediately with a spice mixture.
